Today, Vistar announced that it purchased the assets of VME Distributors, a $20 million
wholesale supplier serving vending operators, mobile caterers, office coffee services,
schools and prisons. Based in Amherst, New York, the company serviced upstate and
central New York, northern Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio.
Vistar will combine its current customer base with that of VME and will operate the
business out of the existing Vistar New England and Vistar Ohio facilities effective
immediately. The move offers customers greater variety and innovative products while
complementing existing geography.
